For our last Taekwon Do session, we got to participate in a exercise to test our strength. We were all asked to stomp down, and use our foot strength to break a plastic brick in half! It was an awesome experience and we all managed to break the brick. Watch our videos below!

Taekwon Do!
As part of Kauri team, this term we have been learning some fundamental Taekwon Do skills! It has been an awesome experience so far. Some things we have learnt are how to throw a strike with your hands and legs, how to block strikes, and how to keep balance. The most important learning, however, was that Taekwon Do is a form of self-defense that is to be used only when absolutely necessary. We have also learnt about the importance of discipline in Taekwon Do. Thank you to all our Taekwon Do teachers who have helped us learn!

ARL Taster Sessions!
On Friday, in Week 9, Room 24 had the awesome opportunity to take part in Rugby League drills with ARL (Auckland Rugby League). They worked with us on our basic rugby league skills like carrying the ball correctly, putting it on the ground safely, holding and passing the ball to the right place, and using space effectively to avoid defenders. We had a great time. Thanks ARL!
