This week Room 24 had an awesome lesson around health eating! We learnt about the four main food groups and how much we need to have from each of those groups daily. We then had an opportunity to look at some cereal boxes and their ingredients. As a class we looked at the different ingredients each cereal had and compared to see which cereal would be the healthiest. The conclusion was that weet bix and oats are the healthiest cereals! The best part was when we were given images of lots of different drinks and we had to order the drinks from having least sugar to having the most sugar. An interesting fact we found out was that flavoured milk, which we often think is healthy, has a lot of sugar in it!
