Room 24 had a great week at Garden to Table in Week 9. The gardening team were faced with the frosty temperature of the early morning. They all persisted through the cold and did an excellent job of mapping out paths around the garden, and covering muddy patches with mulch. While digging the mulch, Trudy taught us that the piles of mulch are very hot in the middle (up to 75 degrees Celsius!) and the heat helps kill all the germs and bacteria. The kitchen team prepared a delicious meal for us which included, bread, kawakawa butter, roasted vegetables, and Matariki star cookies for dessert! We look forward to our last week at Garden to Table!
